I cannot get playback sounds from any music or videos. I can still hear the computer tones and sounds but no music or video. I have tried fixing this a few times but I am at my wits end right now. Please help!!

    Hi,

    ·        What have you done to fix the issue?

    ·        Were you able to hear the sounds in videos and other music files before?

    ·        Do you remember making any changes to the system?

    Method 1:

I would suggest you to check whether the sound card drivers are installed properly on the system. If not I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the drivers from the device manager and check whether the issue is resolved.

    Method 2:

I would suggest you to check the service ‘Windows Audio’ whether it is set to automatic. Follow the steps mentioned below.

    a.       Click on start and then click on Run.

    b.      Type services.msc in the run box and press enter to open the services window.

    c.       Locate Windows Audio and then right click on it.

    d.      Click on Properties and make the startup type to automatic.

    e.      Check whether the issue is resolved.

I would also suggest you to run the fix it that is present in the article given below.

My Device says it is working perfectly.  I have numerous revisions of the Realtek driver and uninstalled and reinstalled.

The Audio service is was and has been running.

The RealTek system sound test generates sounds through the speakers.

No other sounds will come out of the speakers.

There are no possible devices to select in the "Sounds and Audio Device Properties."
