Does Anyone know if it's possible to connect a laptop to an external monitor and then use the external monitors webcam or external camera instead of the laptops webcam?

    Hi Brendan,

What you want to accomplish is possible, but it will depend if the external monitor's webcam or external camera comes with a driver. If the webcam or external camera's drivers are properly installed, your laptop should be able to detect it and will allow you to use or switch to your external monitor's webcam.

    Regards.

As for the compatible camera, you may have to get in touch with the monitor manufacturer to verify for compatible cameras that would work with the monitor. For the list of products that are compatible with Skype for Business, you may visit this link.

Should you have other concerns, feel free to post here in the community.

    Regards.
