Hi Im using ASUS GL502 ROG windows 10 1607 build 14393.1770

Since the release of Creators Update last April 2017, my laptop had many "FAILED" attempts at upgrading to 1703.

I read in a forum if Windows Upgrade Assistant Fails, try Windows Media Creation Tool.

What is the difference in terms of upgrade and process between the TWO?

please SEE my previous post which remains UNANSWERED.

The media creation tool also alows you to well, create instalation media like a USB drive or ISO file for burnin into a DVD.

You can upgrade from a USB drive or DVD if you boot from it, it's also possible to install from scratch if you want. Keep in mind that this is more complicated than updating the normal way.
