    Hi Tommy,

You can try using this troubleshooter to repair registry issues that might be blocking you from removing Reason Core Security.

If, however, you're still unable to uninstall the app, we suggest contacting the respective support team for instructions on uninstalling it.

Uninstalling security software is a somewhat of a common thing. The reason behind this is to deter malware from actually uninstalling it. Needless to say, there's always a way to accomplish it.

Let us know if you need more help.

I did go and follow their instructions.

There are a couple of different ways to uninstall.  One is to go through the control panel and into programs and use the remove programs tool.  However for me, there is no listing of the program there.  Hmmm, so then then say to go into the file at

    C://Program Files//Reason/Security/uninstall.exe

    There is NO uninstall.exe file.

So I am unable to remove by using their directions.

The other thing that really bugs me with this is where the heck did it come from and how did it get on my computer?  I am not a **** about these things and never let it get on that I would have possible been aware of it doing so.  It was installed on 11-17-17 and I did not do this myself.  Maybe my wife messed up but however it got on my machine, it was nefarious at best.

    Anyone know about this?

Additionally, when I just try to change the name of the folder, it will not allow it, saying it is in use by another folder.  Of course you can't figure out what is using it.

    This really sucks!

Did Windows 10 update add this to my computer?

I did NOT install it and I do NOT want it.  It is trying to run too often and nagging me to upgrade it to pro version.  Hate this!!

You have to have a product key to use the trouble shooter.

There is no product key for this program.  Not listed under my programs so it will uninstall and NO uninstall.exe file in its folders.

This is very insidious!! I have had NO response anywhere about how to remove this app.  I have contacted Microsoft and Reason Core Security and all I have heard is NOTHING.
