Hi, everyone and microsoft staffs

I have been waiting a long time to complete download windows updates, about more than 4 hours only get 67%. Suddenly the power goes out and the download is disconnected because the computer is off. At the time of power back on and then I turn on the computer.. but the download starts from the beginning back is 0%. Is there a setting to continue the update I've previously (%) downloaded? Please help me, as this will waste a lot of time if download updates start all over again. I'm a new user of windows 10 anniversary. Thanks.

The answer to your question "is there a way to resume interrupted MS update downloads" is simple, NO.

MS lives in a land where everyone has highest quality (uninterrupted), highest speed internet connections with unlimited download capacity (ie fibre optic service). They simply have not bothered to add a restart interrupted feature that many other download manager tools have had for years.

    Hello,

Open administrative Command Prompt and type following commands one-by-one followed by Enter key.

    net stop wuauserv
    net stop cryptSvc
    net stop bits
    net stop msiserver
    Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
    Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old
    net start wuauserv
    net start cryptSvc
    net start bits
    net start msiserver

Close Command Prompt and see if Windows Updates works then.

    Hope this helps, Good luck!

Hi Desi, I know on previous versions of the Media Creation Tool this method worked:

If Open Windows File Explorer, then navigate to this folder

    C:$Windows.~WS\Sources\Windows\sources

    Run this file: setupprep.exe

    The download should resume . . .

You can download the ISO through browser and then upgrade manually.
Microsoft also provides many options to get the latest feature upgrade manually. You can use:
    Upgrade assistant
    Media Creation Tool
    ISO File
to get Fall Creators update right now.
You can use the following guide having detailed Instructions on how to upgrade to the latest Feature upgrade i.e. Fall Creators update using all the three methods:
How to upgrade to Windows 10 Fall Creators update right now
    www.yourwindowsguide.com/2017/10/upgrade-to-windows-10-fall-creators.html
Media Creation tool has an Edge over the Upgrade assistant in my opinion as it offers a greater degree of flexibility of downloading and using the ISO file so that one can deploy it on multiple computers.
