Finding location of Desktop Background Slideshow Folder

Hi. I can't find the folder that I've selected to be used as the source for the Desktop Background slideshow. I know it still exists because the pictures continue to cycle through. I can't find it either by looking in my Pictures file or by browsing when I browse for an album in the select Desktop Background page. However, it clearly shows that as of right now I have the folder selected.

How can I find this folder? Even by searching in the search bar nothing appears.

    Hi Tristan,

One of the possible reason why you're unable to locate the folder set for your desktop background is due to the folder being hidden. We recommend that you check the folder options if it's configure correctly. Follow the steps below:

    1. Go to File Explorer > Click the View tab.
    2. Select Options > Choose Change folder and search options.
    3. Go to View tab > Under Hidden files and folders select Show hidden files, folders, and drives.
    4. Click Apply then OK.

You may also go to C:\Windows\Web and check if the folder you're looking for is there.

Keep us updated about the status of the issue.

I went to the Hidden files and folders as you said but it was already showing the hidden things. I then went to the Web folder, but it was only the files that came with the computer and not the new ones.

There's a possibility that the folder that you're trying to access has already been moved or deleted. Windows has the capability to retain certain settings configured ever after modifying their source files/folders.

Don’t hesitate to inform us if you have any other concerns.

I can't say I've made any changes, but considering I created and set the folder in mid-August and have only just realized the issue in late-October I can't say absolutely no changes have been made. What kind of changes would cause this issue? I don't believe I've installed any major updates to my computer in the time I've had it.
