When i opened store app, it took longer than usual but not started after about half an hour. But now after almost 3 to 5 hours, I just opened my store app and it is written in yellow pattern that "Something Bad happened, Unknown layout specified in manifest" What is this and how can i resolve it? Should i install a fresh copy of windows?

Start by running the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter.

Open Start > Settings > Update & security > Troubleshoot

    Scroll down to the bottom

    Click Windows Store Apps

    Click Run the troubleshooter

When complete try opening the Store again.

Also check if the Store works in another user account.

    Press Windows key + R

    Type: wsreset.exe

    Hit Enter

Do this a couple times then try launching the Store again.

Your Antivirus might be interfering with the Store, try disabling it 'temporarily' to see if it launches.

Check Windows Update and install the latest updates. Sometimes Microsoft releases infrastructure fixes for the Store through Windows Update.

You can also try resetting the store app using the following instructions:

This error is generally associated with your location settings or region and language settings being incorrect

Region and language can be checked in Control panel - Region and Language

Location can be set in the Settings App - Privacy - Location, make sure location is switched on and is set correctly

Also I would advise resetting your Store App

Open Settings - Apps and let the list of apps build

Scroll down to find the Store app

Click on that, select Advanced Options

In the Advanced Options Settings window, click Reset

I'm in Guernsey and had this problem on my desktop PC. I changed region from Guernsey to UK and Store worked. On my laptop, its set to Guernsey and works fine. When it was UK or other I'm not sure it did not work. Good idea that MS gets its Store app right I think, they must be losing a lot of business and faith....
