IPv6 No Network Access -Windows 10 1703

A few days ago, I found that the IPv6 connection of my computer showed "No network access". The Ethernet and WiFi are the same.

Screenshot:

I have tried the following methods:

Diagnose network; Troubleshoot;

Uninstall and reinstall drivers;

Dism.exe /... /RestoreHealth and sfc /scannow;

Reinstall Windows 10 by opening ISO file in current Windows.

But none of them worked. "ipconfig /all" is as follows:

Then I ran Windows PE on this computer, and also ran the same command, but this time it looked normal:

(Unable to take a screenshot)

So I concluded that the hardware works well but somewhere in Windows has problem.

Windows version:

Now I have two questions:

Q1: Can this peoblem be solved by repairing, configuring but not reinstalling Windows? If yes, how?

Q2: If I have to reinstall Windows in the all-new way, how can I backup my software infomation so that I will not have to reinstall all my program after that?

In a conclusion, IPv6 means a lot for me. Please help me and those who have the same problem to solve this. Be free to post opinions and suggestions. Thank you for your reading and care.

    Don't re-install Windows over it. That isn't it. I've got the same readings as you in IpConfig & in the network Properties box - & mine was a clean install of v.1703 (now upgraded to v.1709).

    I have read at my Verizon site that IPv6 requires a router that can handle it, & that my own router is incapable. So, I haven't tried the following. Please let me know whether it works. It also has a download to enable it...

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929852/how-to-disable-ipv6-or-its-components-in-windows

    How to disable IPv6 or its components in Windows

    Here is a site for it, & it includes an IPv6 test site...

    http://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-disable-ipv6-solve-internet-connectivity-problems

    Enable or Disable IPv6 to solve Internet connectivity problems in Windows

    I did take the test, & got a score of 7/10. Everything was good, except "Your DNS server (possibly run by your ISP) appears to have no access to the IPv6 Internet, or is not configured to use it. This may in the future restrict your ability to reach IPv6-only sites.".

    Very glad to hear it. Thanks for the feedback, & I do love to be marked the answer.

    It encouraged me to run all 5 of them, myself. Each created a restore point & did its quick work. Afterwards, a reboot was required. I do believe certain settings are showing more mention of IPv6 than before. However, that test site still gives me a score of 7/10 with the same complaint. I guess my Verizon site is right that the modem they have given me is incapable. But all is working well with IPv4. I'm unworried & content.

    Dear PCR,

    Thank you for your reply!

    Your advice do solve the problem and help me a lot!

    The link you pinned (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929852/how-to-disable-ipv6-or-its-components-in-windows) provides 5 troubleshooting files that enable IPv6 and its components. I downloaded them and ran each of them, then restart my computer.

    As a result, those files have changed the network configuration and status. my computer get the right IPv6 address at last.

    In a nutshell, this problem might be caused by some programs which will change the preferences of network. But it won't recover in uninstallation. That won't be recognized as a error, and reinstalling Windows keeps this setting. It is these troubleshooting files that force changing the status of network.

    Your suggestion have helped me a lot and will show as a worthy method to others. Thank you for your nice advice!

    Dear David,

    Thank you for your reply!

    The answers to your questions are as below:

    A1: No. There is no hardware change for two months.

    A2: Yes. It is ESET NOD32 Antivirus. But I believe that it won't cause network problems, because it works well for more than a year.

    A3: No. The network here is unadjustable for me. It's managed by my organization, and I only have a port to plug line. But I may guarantee that it works well, baccause my friend's computer (Windows 10, Build 1703) can get IPv6 address in my port.

    A4:

    1. Check for programs related for network. Uninstalled game accelerators and VPN connector.
    2. Run "Diagnose network" and "Troubleshoot"
    3. Reset LSP
    4. Uninstall and reinstall drivers of Ethernet and WiFi;
    5. Check the integrity of the components of Windows (by DISM commands); use "sfc /scannow" to check for problems;
    6. Reinstall Windows.

    After these steps the problem still exists.

    Now I am still trying to fix this. If I succeed, I will update.

    Thank you for your reading!

    Hi KumaTee,

    It could be that there is an application in your system that blocks IPv6 from having network access, or that your network settings are incorrectly configured, etc. For us to isolate the issue in IPv6 having a no network access, kindly respond to the questions below:

    1. Have you made any significant changes to your device prior to the issue?
    2. Are there any third-party antivirus applications installed on your device?
    3. Have you tried restarting your modem and wireless router? This would help create a new connection to your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Keep in mind that all devices that are connected to the network would be temporarily disconnected.
    4. May we have a complete list of the troubleshooting steps that you have done? This is for us to know and to avoid any duplication of efforts on your end.

    We look forward to your response.
