Hi, in order to use the license of a special sw for the university, i need to register using my PRIMARY MAC adrees of my notebook...in particular this is a “one shot” procedure, so no other possibilities are available. The procedure described to us is no more available because the last updates of w10. Then i am able to see the MAC of my ethernet and wifi connection, but i am not able to understand which is the PRIMARY one, so please help me!

We are volunteers willing to help you try to resolve this issue.

We would only be guessing so you need to contact the IT or Computer Support, or even the dept. that distributes that software, to get new instructions. You will not be the only one or even first with this issue.

I would actually go there with my laptop.

It is too important to not be sure.

Please let us know the results and if you need further assistance.

Start - type in --> ipconfig /all will show the MAC address of your network adapter.

The problem is you do not know nor should we guess which mac address they are asking about. Maybe you or someone else can figures it out by comparing the old instructions to the new information.

The support you need is the School's Computer Support or IT Dept.

Since you said it can't be undone I definitely would not guess.

We will help all we can.

    Hello

Have you looked at the properties in the command prompt window? Start > Type CMD.EXE > run as admin

    Type:

    ipconfig /all

Look for your Ethernet or wifi adapter and look for the physical address. That is the MAC address and there should only be one available for each adapter.

Is that what you were looking for?
