Hello All,

I have bought a new Seagate Backup Plus Slim 1 TB external hard drive few days back. It is getting detected by Windows and is showing in My Computer window as F: but when I open Seagate Dashboard it does not detect the external hard drive and shows the message "Connect a Seagate Dashboard- enhanced drive to activate features" even when the external hard drive is directly plugged into the Laptop. I have tried all possible troubleshooting steps suggested by Seagate Tech Support but still the issue persists. Could anyone please help me?

Note:- As a part of troubleshooting tried installing the same external HDD on one of my friends computer with same OS and the Seagate Dashboard detects the drive and works fine. Details of my Laptop and OS is as under along with trouble shooting steps performed:-
