Hello Tom,
These errors normally appear due to driver incompatibility. To answer your question, you may uninstall the old driver and get the latest/updated compatible driver for your Windows 10 version from the program developer's website.
Thank you.
Thanks for the reply but as mentioned in other questions about this same question. I don't want to remove a driver just to go back to an older version.
My PC came with "Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater" software installed. This PC is several years old and until I installed the Windows 10 1709 update I didn't get the message "driver expected is version 7.5.1.1 but version 7.6.4.9 is installed".
If Window 10 update 1709 includes a driver for its Dolby Home Theater software then I may be able to uninstall my old PC's "Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater" and just run the software included with Windows 10.
Window 10 now includes a PDF reader. So I uninstalled my PC copy of Adobe's PDF reader software. Since I don't need or use Adobe's software for anything else it is best for me to uninstall it and just use the PDF reader in Windows 10.
If this is true for a PDF reader the same may be true for the Dolby Home Theater software.
