Does the computer have a hidden partition to restore OS? Some computer had it from Dell and HP. When you boot the PC, see if there is an option for it.
ISO file for Windows XP Home Edition
Good day,
I am running a device with Windows XP installed. I would like to format my hard drive and do a clean installation of any Windows OS. The problem is that I do not have the XP installation disc, I can not upgrade to Windows 10 from XP and my XP product key will not work with Windows 7 or 8.1. Is there a way to get or create an ISO file for Windows XP Home Edition please?

2017-11-07T04:14:01+00:00 I share your problem. My Dell Inspiron 1100 should have Windows XP but its hard drive failed. Newegg sells used IDE drives for approximately $20. I loaded Windows 98 on a refurbished IDE hard drive. I have the 98 disk. However, my Dell's registration number is for XP. Now I need to upgrade to XP. There are few access points within Windows 98 for doing any upgrades. The old 98 OS recognizes only its CD player. Hence, any upgrade must be from a CD or an ISO file on a CD. Ethernet and USB2 are not possible because a 98 install lacks 5 critical drivers: (1) PCI card, (2) PCI Ethernet controller, (3) PCI System Management Bus, (4) PSI USB, and (5) PCI Multimedia Audio Device. Intel has downloads of its Windows 98 drivers. These seem safe. Softlay.net has downloads of both XP and its drivers. That free site may or may not be safe. So all we need to do is find an XP ISO and its drivers, and burn these to a CD.
