I recently purchased a HP laptop which has a 500 Gb hard drive with win 7 64 bit, my problem is the 500 gb is given as one drive can any one tell how to partition the drive . i have tried partition magic from symantec and swissknife both does not work in win 7 64 bit.

I realize that this thread is 7 years old. But, I have Windows 7 Home edition on my aging PC, wanted to recover 1 Terabyte of storage on a inaccessible partition and thought the above requested
"Free" solution might be available to help. I tried the link provided above. But, being so old it is not surprising that it doesn't exist anymore. Anyone know if if updated instructions can be found somewhere on the Web? Thanks in advance.

Hi,
As this thread quiet for a while, I wonder if you have solved your problem. Assuming you have fixed, in case of who have the same problem. I think there is a better solution. Although Partition Magic cannot work on Windows 7 64 bit, there are many Partition Magic Windows 7 for you to manage disk partition, such as Aomei Partiton Assistant, Acronis Disk Director, etc.
