Have been successfully using home wireless network connection for some time; now am able to connect only using Ethernet wire.  Detection function says to "turn on wireless capability using switch on front or side of computer (laptop) or by using function keys." Am unable to find a wireless switch nor do i know what function keys might enable wireless function.  Using an HP Pavilion dv6 notebook PC; Windows 7 Home Premium.

I have Windows 10 on a Dell computer. I also can only use Ethernet and do not have a wireless switch. Which function keys can I use to turn the Wi-Fi on?

The HP Pavilion dv6 has a button above the keyboard (just below the screen) that turns the wireless on and off. In the image at http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IigYP-K13-0/UIFvvsIY-3I/AAAAAAAAAFM/JAu5g9nD21c/s1600/HP_Pavilion_dv6-1225ef_Keyboard.jpg, it is the one that is illuminated, to the right of the volume indicator bar (the button to the left turns the sound on and off).
