Auto swich mode tablet not working after fall creator update 1709, asus transformer 3 pro

After update my windows  10 home to fall creators update 1709, autoswitch desktop and tablet is no longer working anymore on my asus transformer 3 pro t303UA

Before update, if I dettach the keyboard or flip back the keyboard, the laptop will change to tablet mode.

But now is not working anymore.

If I flip back the keyboard and than have to change to tablet manually using action center, in tablet mode, the keyboard still on. Before update it will switch off automatic just like surface 4.

The rotation is working so hardware sensor and driver no problem.

It is something wrong with asus keyboard lock driver.

I use the newest version available at asus site (v 1.0.9) even try to use previous version v1.0.7 but still without result. Using the newest driver v.1.0.10 for transformer 3 pro t304UA also no result.

Service for asus keyboard lock is in automatic mode and status is start (run).

My bios is the latest 303.

Installed ATK driver and also intel sensor hub driver also no result.

Mic also not as responsive as previous version.

Are there any person have similiar problem with me and already solved the problem?

Is there someone who can have solution for those bugs/problems?

At the moment I revert back to previous version  of windows 10 and work perfectly. Please microsoft and asus, do research of this problem.

Thank you for anykind of help

Dear all that have some problem as me.

Asus finaly released the update version of Asus Keyboard Lock v1.0.13 that is compatible with Windows 10 Fall creators Update v1709.

But this driver only can be found in the support page for Asus Transformer 3 T305CA. If you cannot find the Asus Transformer 3 T305CA in your local Asus site, please change to global site, than find in product - laptop & 2 in 1 - Transformer (detachable).

Find in utilities. It is just released on 11 3rd 2017.

    Or follow this link :

    https://www.asus.com/2-in-1-PCs/ASUS-Transformer-3-T305CA/HelpDesk\_Download/

I am using it with my Asus Transformer 3 pro T303UA, so far problem with auto switch desktop to tablet and also turning back the keyboard cover now already gone.

So you can update now to Fall Creators Update again. I can confirm this time it is working.

I believe all asus transformers that use asus keyboard lock can use this driver. Uninstall the old version, change to 1.0.13 .

    Hello there,

because I got the same problem with an Asus Transformer Mini, I did some research on that. It's exactly right what Teguh wrote. A clean install of Windows 10 x64 Enterprise (Edition doesn't matter) 1709 shows the same effect. With installed Intel Chipset Drivers and Keyboard Lock Utility (Ver. 1.0.6, 1.0.9, 1.0.10 tested), the Keyboard and Touchpad will not be locked, when the Cover ist turned backwards. With earlier Windows Versions (tested with Windows 10 x64 Enterprise 1703 and Windows 10 LTSB 2016) in combination with the same Intel Chipset Drivers and the same Keyboard Lock Utility Versions (all) it does correctly lock. Also, the recognition for switching between Tablet- / Desktop-Mode works. It does not with Windows-Version 1709.

In conclusion I can say, there is definitively a compatibility issue between Microsoft Windows 10 Ver. 1709 and Asus Keyboard Lock Utility. With an Samsung Galaxy Book 12 I tried this, too. But there everything works as expected. They must do something different to detect the keyboard state.

Maybe that helps in some point.

We are volunteers willing to help with your issue.

Certainly sounds like a compatibility issue between the device and the Fall Creators Update.

If you update again and have the issue :

Try removing / uninstalling the driver in Device Manager then reboot and re-install the latest driver. Right Click Start Button - Device Manager - double click device - Driver tab - Uninstall - then OK and reboot. Re-install the latest driver. That might remove a conflicting setting or driver corruption which could cause such an issue.

For the mic did you check for updates to the sound drivers?

Check with Asus Support and Forums as others may have had the same issue. The quickest answer will likely come from them. If Asus is aware of the issue they will be working with Microsoft for a solution.

Dear Sir, thanka for the reply.

I did already installing uninstalling the driver in the device manager, and also at Apps, but still no result.

Include uinstalling-installingsoftware and driver from previous and also the latest, no result.

It seems incompatiblity software from asus, or some registries change that trigger the problem. But checking HKLM or HKCU.....\immersiveShell nothing strange there, and no effect after changing value of ConvertibleSkateModePromptPreference.

I have already emailed to local asus support (indonesia) as directed by Asus website, and it seems from their answer, they dont understand the problem and not knowing yet that issue. Only formality answer such as please install the old driver and etc that I have already done. I red in one asus transformer forum,  one user has same problem, but he is using other type of transformer convertible laptop, but still no respond from other users and from asus. Maybe very rarely people using asus convertible laptop, maybe they preffer Ms surface 4.

Please answer ALL of the following [admittedly tedious] diagnostic questions by number, preferably without quoting my post:

    1. Has a Norton application or a McAfee application EVER been installed on the computer since you bought it?
    2. Have you ever run the Norton Removal Tool and/or the McAfee Consumer Products Removal Tool?
