I want to change my app to open with google chrome not IE

Hi Linc. I'm Greg, a volunteer and 8 year WIndows MVP here to help you.

Go to Settings>Apps>Default Apps and change IE to Chrome. This should do it.

If not you may need to dig into the App's settings to see if there's a way to change it? We can help better if you tell us what app it is.

You can set that as you wish here ;

Start - Settings - Apps - Default apps - scroll down to "Choose default apps by file types", "Choose default apps by protocol", and "Set defaults by apps".

Welcome to the Microsoft Community forums.

You will need to change the default web browser on your device. To do this, please:

Click into search bar/Cortana on the Taskbar - next to start,

Search/enter Default App Settings

Select Default App Settings in the search results Cortana has displayed for you,

Then selecting Web and select Microsoft Edge or the default web browser,

and on the pop up window select Google Chrome.
