Bluetooth Can't See My Device

Hello,

I am having issues pairing a Bluetooth mouse (MX Anywhere 2S) to my laptop. Under "Device and Printers", the mouse isn't listed. When I go to "Add a device", I can see other Bluetooth devices but the mouse. My assumption here is that the Bluetooth Driver is too old.

In "Device Manager", I have checked the Driver Date of the "Generic Bluetooth Adapter" and it shows 6/21/2006. Clearly, it's outdated. When I try going to Update Driver > Search automatically for updated driver software, the message I get is "The best drivers for your device are already installed".

Thank you in advance for your help.

Oscar

    Hi Oscar,

This issue with Bluetooth mouse can be caused by hardware or driver issues.

Since updating the driver did not resolve the issue, try to reinstall the driver by following the steps below:

    1. Open Device Manager.
    2. Right-click (or tap and hold) the name of the device and select Uninstall.
    3. Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
    4. Reconnect your Bluetooth mouse.

Feel free to post back if you have other concerns.
