Hi

I want to dual boot with a Linux OS or maybe even run a Linux OS an a separate PC. To use and compare both OSes.

Will I be able to access my Microsoft Account in Linux and still feedback to Microsoft. Will I be secure as I have noticed that most Linux flavours/desktops/OSes come without security software.

Thanks

You will be able to access some services over the web from within Linux. For example, you can sign into Outlook.com, OneDrive.com and Office Online web apps.

But, thats pretty much it, you might be able to augment it with some apps that that circumvent Microsoft apps, but its not gonna be perfect. You are best off using other services like Dropbox and Google Services.

Remember, backup before even attempting this. I have seen too many stories about this going wrong and users wiping out their Windows installations:

    Thanks Andre

Thanks for the links and advice.

My separate backup drive is attached permanently and backups also go to my NAS. I was one of those users !
