The 4250 doesn't have win 10 drivers so you have to use MS drivers. I found this that might work - http://www.driverscape.com/manufacturers/acer/laptops-desktops/aspire-7551/750

My wife and I have two Acer Aspire 7551-7422 (both alike) running Win 10. Both are the same model and specs, except her display is much smaller than mine. I believe it changed during a Win 10 update.
Mine defaults to 1600x900 resolution (sharp) and hers defaults to 1024x768 and looks fuzzy. The highest resolution hers shows is 1152 x 864. I checked Device Manager to find the display adapter - both say the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250.
However, my PROPERTIES says "this device is working correctly" and hers says "no drivers are installed for this device."
I tried to update the driver inside Device Manager, and it says " The best driver is already installed.
My driver is - AMD, installed 1/13/2015, version 8.970.100.9001 - and her driver is - AMD installed 7/25/2017, version 22.19.128.0. Both say digital signer is Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher.
How can I replace her driver with the same one I have? It seems like there is no manual process and Win 10 says all is fine.

Tim-Heidenreich, I have the same machine but have not been able to get any of the proposed solutions around the web to work. I avoided the issue for many months but, in a moment of retardedness, re-enabled automatic device driver updates, so here I am with a very stubborn problem.
It seems most answers are dated in 2015 tied to either the v13.4 or v13.9 driver. Many of the solutions do not distinguish between the Mobility version of this card, and the desktop version. I presume there is a significant difference.
I am now on Windows 10 Build 17134.112. I have spent nearly a week trying to resolve this but there does not appear to be a solution. It's as if a line has been drawn in Windows 10 Build 17134.112 (maybe even earlier) where all previous workarounds are being hard-coded out, thereby deprecating a slew of laptops for many of us.
Shmaun post some good details here: https://www.tenforums.com/graphic-cards/15355-windows-10-ati-radeon-hd-4250-graphics.html
According to him, the v8.970.100.9001 (2015) worked when Win 10 was a clean install. This is the version with which I am currently working to resolve.
I even downloaded v300.15.1025 directly from the MS Catalog, but end up with only Basic Display Driver capabilities as well, because it doesn't load, etc. Installs, but won't load.
Did you finally find a resolution? Many thanks for sharing answer details if so!
Many thanks!
Installed the driver for SONY VAIO VPCEE4E1R.
Windows 10 x64
Thank you very much. I was able to download it from that site and install it! I really appreciate it!
