This issue has come up at multiple sites in addition to microsoft.com and none of the proposed solutions have worked for me. In my case the file statistic.ark, as well as all other files in the Solitaire related directories, relate to the problem. I can deleted all of them including uninstalling and reinstalling solitaire and my old statistics continue to come back. I am suspecting that an encripted registry entry or a file with a name unrelated to solitaire in name has something to do with it but without guidance from someone who knows at Microsoft can provide a useful answer here. However, we all know that that will not be happening.
[Resolved] Reset Statistics in Microsoft Solitaire Collection
Hello everyone.
Here's the solution:
Please open the File Explorer and go to:
C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftSolitaireCollection_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\UserData
If you are a guest, please go to Guest\Statistic
And the same way if you have a Microsoft account.
Than delete "Statistic.ark".
Now you can notice that game statistics have returned as they were.

2017-01-03T01:02:09+00:00 I deleted both <statistic.ark> files, but the next time I opened Solitaire, the file on my user account reappeared with the same stats. Just to be sure, I did this about 4 times--nothing worked.

2016-09-08T19:04:47+00:00 It did work for me, but it wasn't apparent at first. Sorry that i can't explain further, but it did work. I think i had to close the application, then restart or something.

2017-11-03T18:18:22+00:00 I also found the delete statistic.ark solution has stopped working (which it did in the past).
What does work is to delete the whole folder with the long string of numbers above the Guest folder (i.e. not just the statistic.ark subfolder) which then deletes stats and all game settings.

This worked for me many times until an update changed so that your scores would be downloaded back into the game.
So you now need to turn off your internet connection then carry out the procedure above. Once done reboot the machine still with internet off and when it has booted back up play one game of whatever patience you play and will cause the app to recreate the above statistic.ark file but now it will not get over written by the cloud version. Close the program and re-instate your network connection and carry on playing but you now have reset scores and games played etc. I hope this helps if you were having problems.
