How can I disable sleep mode in Windows 7?

Windows 7 goes to sleep automatically on my desktop computer.  I want that to stop so that I may print remotely from my cell phone to my HP printer. How may I stop my desktop from automatically going into sleep mode?

This used to work fine until I applied the last Windows 7 update.  Then the "Sleep" setting appeared in the Start button menu list (it was not there before the update), and my machine now automatically drifts into sleep where it stayed active before.

    Hi Richard,

There are a lot of possible factors for this matter to occur. One possibility is that the advanced power options were reconfigured. To isolate this matter, we have some questions for you:

    1. Have you checked your screensaver if it is set to blank?
    2. Have you tried checking the Advanced power options, under sleep mode if it is set to "0" or disabled?
    3. What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

We recommend that you go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Change Plan settings > Change advanced power settings > locate Sleep. Under Sleep after and Hibernate after, set it to "0" and under Allow hybrid sleep, set it to "Off".

We'll be waiting for your response.

    Regards.
