Hi Guy's, Hope somebody can help with this and save my sanity!!!! . When i download a file from the internet or email etc, when it comes to opening it does not display correctly, Opening properties of the documents and it says down the bottom " This file is blocked etc...." and i check the Unblock box then Apply,  the doc is ready to use. I find this absolutely frusytrating and need to know how to change it so it downloads like it normally would on any other of my pc's?

thank you :/

    Hi Simone,

You may try the following steps below on how to unblock all the files that you'll be downloading:

    1. Click Start, type in gpedit.msc.
    2. Go to "User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Attachment Manager".
    3. Double-click on "Do not preserve zone information in file attachments".
    4. Choose the "Enabled" option and click Apply > OK.
    5. Close the "Local Group Policy Editor" window.

    Notes:

You will need administrator access to do the above steps. Previously downloaded files that are blocked will continue to remain blocked until you unblock them manually. Only the files you download after enabling the setting above will avoid getting blocked.

Let us know how it goes.
