I have been getting this message while trying to update some programs on my computer. It tells me to contact the administrator but I am the administrator. I checked the setting and everything is good. I looked at the file permissions and it looks good. I don't know what to do. I can not add or update programs on my system. Any help would be appreciated. Below is an example.

Running the system file checker fixed the problem. Thanks :)

    Hi David,

It is possible that this is due to user account corruption. To properly isolate this issue, kindly answer the queries below:

    • Any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
    • Have you tried running the System File Checker tool?
    • Have you tried restarting the computer or booting it to safe mode?
    • Do you have other administrator account that you can use to login to your computer?

We're looking forward to your response.
