Whenever I try to send a photo in an email, I get this message as an error and will not send it. What's wrong? This has been happening for a while and now am trying to solve the issue. Thanks! Jean

If ever you need help interpreting an error message, it's vital to quote the entire message. The error code alone is rarely enough to make it possible to diagnose the problem. However, in this case, I'm going to guess that the error message in fact reads something like:
Unable to send or receive messages for the [Hotmail] account.

Server Error: 404

Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80194194

DeltaSync doesn't work any more since the migration of Microsoft email accounts to Outlook Mail. You'll find an explanation and a suggested remedy in this article: Windows Live Mail and Outlook Mail
