How to remove 3D Objects from File Explorer

How can I remove 3D objects from File Explorer? I do not need to have a folder, or an icon, for something I rarely or never use. If I need a folder or place marker, I will create one.

Windows 10 just keeps adding so many items that are not necessary. Please give up the option to remove these items. Or make it optional to add them.

Hi Doug, that folder is created by 3D Builder

In order to delete that folder you will need to uninstall 3D Builder, if you do not use it

Right click your Start Button, choose Powershell (admin)

Paste this command into Powershell and hit Enter:

    Get-AppxPackage *3dbuilder* | Remove-AppxPackage

    Close Powershell

That folder should now be gone . . .

Hi Doug. I'm Greg, a volunteer installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

If you want to address Microsoft you'll need to use the Feedback Hub app in Start Menu where developers are tasked to process consumer feedback. They will not see it here as this is a largely volunteer-staffed forums.

As this is a User Shell Folder it can't be deleted even taking ownership, so if you dont' want to see it I'd move it's location on Properties tab to some folder you don't use like c:\Users\Public\Pictures and you'll never see it again. Just remember where it is in case you get into 3D. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1964-move-u...

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.
