as described in the title I experienced an issue with displaying on all displays all of the sudden so I decided to reboot as it had been over night. I rebooted and as other time it comes up with the preparing windows as it wasn't shut down properly (that's what I asume happens atleast) so I sit there waiting for it to boot up but never finishes, usually does so within a few seconds to minutes. but now I've been stuck on the same screen saying preparing of windows. it's loading but nothing comes of it. I did try to restart after it failed the first 20 minutes, even though it says you need to avoid it (as it foxes it before. I would just reinstall but I don't have a boot able win 10 version as I just ipgraded from 8.1. and I have some files I'd hate to loose. I tried booting into advances with f8 f11, didn't do it for me. so if anyone could be of any help I'd appreciate it thanks.

Thank you for keeping us updated. If you need our assistance in the future, don't hesitate to reach out. In the other hand, we found a troubleshooting to repair the corrupted system file on your computer. We recommend running System File Checker (SFC) and Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM). To do so, follow the steps below:

    1. Press and hold **Shift key.**While holding Shift key, click the Off button> Restart.
    2. Note: Hold the Shift key, after clicking Restart. You will see the same image below:****
    3. Click, Troubleshoot >  Advance options > Command Prompt > Skip this drive.
    4. Type the commands DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Note: There's spaces before each "/" commands. 5. After you completely diagnose and restore the health of your computer, enter sfc /scannow(Note: There's space between "sfc" and "/". 6. Restart your computer and then sign in.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

There are a lot of possible causes why you're unable to properly turn on your computer and getting a message that your Windows is preparing. This may be due to missing system files or your account is corrupted. To isolate the issue, we'd like to ask a few questions:

    • Are you seeing the power button at the lower-right corner on your screen? The power button function to sleep, turn off or restart your computer.
    • Can you tell us the last activity that you're doing on your computer before you're experiencing the issue?

We are looking forward to your reply.
