hello,

i performed a clean Windows 10 installation on my FSC V5535 Notebook,

i am missing the native 1280 x 800 screen resolution,

following screen resolutions are available:

  • 1280 x 768
  • 1024 x 768
  • 800 x 600
  • 640 x 480

i checked the Geräte-Manager:

  • Grafikkarten: Microsoft Basic Display Adapter
  • Monitore: Nicht-PnP Monitor (Standard)

-> maybe there is a solution, the sharpness of the display is not perfect at 1280 x 768

thank you,

best regards

frank.

Option 1.Try Rolling back if you have an option:

See DaveM and Sumit Dhiman2 posts:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

Option 2. Remove AMD drivers completely and Install the legacy ones from the AMD site:

    What you need to do:

    1. Uninstall everything of AMD using this: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/... and reboot
    2. Reboot.
    3. Make sure your device manager shows Microsoft Basic Display adapter.
    4. Download the legacy driver from here(You might have to do a bit of exercise to locate the driver:

    http://www.support.amd.com/en-us/download

5.Run the Setup and you should be good to go.

Option 3: See if Windows itself has some history of the Older Driver:

    Solution by Ken-C here:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

Please note all the steps need temporarily disabling of Windows update or driver updates so that newer driver doesn't install automatically.

    Why did this happen?

Hi Frank, since your graphics are running on the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, you are not going to get proper graphics output

You need to download the correct video driver from the Fujitsu Siemens Website

Click this link to get your video Driver:

    https://support.ts.fujitsu.com/IndexDownload.as...

Once the driver has downloaded, install it and restart your system
