My preview pane is showing outside of my folder.

I have Windows 10. I work in audio and while highlighting images appear to show correctly in my folders' preview panes, audio either doesn't show at all or, more frequently, a preview pane appears outside of the folder and floats on the left of my screen.

LINK TO VIDEO OF ISSUE (forgive the auto zoom ins that the recording software did... Can still just about work out what I'm talking about!)

Also, video previews, while appearing as static images, have no play controls as I think there used to be? Although I may be wrong on this.

But it's this audio preview thing that's a real... pane.

(Yes, I have preview pane activated as I should)

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer in fixing this issue.

    Just to correct the people who think this bug started with the creator update, it did not.

    This bug has been there from day 1, i know this because at the time some years ago now i flamed MS for not replying to our threads, and i see MS still think the best way to deal with users who need a solution.

    Well just ignore them, and they will go away.

    Well i gave up waiting for MS to respond with a fix sure i got the do 5 things that will not fix anything list and i see that the OP also was instructed to do useless things and then he was ignored.

    Only hope is that a user finds a working fix because MS will not help

    Really appreciate the reply. Unfortunately it didnt work for me.

    I could live with the bug if the preview opened on the screen in a way that still allowed me to use the play controls.. for me, the bottom 3rd is off screen.

    I want to add I have adobe cc installed.

    Windows Support Team... this is silly... no response? As a video/audio editor, this is an incredibly painful bug. Please, for the love, fix the problem.

    For the record, I don't use two monitors and it started before the creators update for me.

    Still got it. Still bugging the hell out of me.

    Possible. I use 2 monitors also, but it started with the first creator update. So I'm still blaming Microsoft for hiring unworthy programmers. lol.
