Cannot cast from Windows 10 to Anyview cast Smart TV

I'm attempting to project to a second display onto a Smart TV supporting Anyview Cast (Hisense Smart TV). I've attempted this with two different Windows 10 laptops, both using the Project to second screen > Connect to a wireless display options.

In both cases, it attempts to connect for a while, and then nothing happens. One laptop also states "Couldn't connect" in yellow (with no further diagnostic information).

I believe it is the same issue raised in several other posts:

i was able to do it with the below steps.

    On win 10 -->

"Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center" --> Change advanced sharing settings - Turn on File and Printer sharing

On Hi -Sense TV - > Home, Input -> Anywhere cast -> It will wait for the device to connect

Back to PC -> Settings - Devices - Add Bluetooth and other devices -> wireless display or Dock

Smart TV would appear there and you should be able to connect.

I use it as my second display and extend my display to the TV when working from home.

    SOLVED !!!!

after much faffing and playing with drivers and doing everything under the sun which didnt work......By flook i got it working.

Turn hisense on ( not in anyview cast mode !!! ) on laptop Go to the add devices and printers section. Remove the little tv icon/ device if its there and then re-add the device .... BUT !!! AND THIS IS WHAT MADE IT WORK , WHEN YOU RE ADD IT DONT ADD IT BACK AS THE TV ICON !!!!! IT NEEDS TO BE ADDED BACK AS A PC/SVR/MEDIA BOX TYPE ICON!!!!  Which will show in the row below where the tv icons are/were.

I then went to my movies and said cast, it found my hisense smarttv ( the first movie i chose format didnt work, but the 2nd one i chose, clicked cast and play in the little window that came up and true as nuts it played )

hope i am making sense here

according to Hisense customer support "Anyview Cast" only works with jellybean android (4.2.2) or lower (yes on 2017). they also insist that you connect your device via HDMI. the only viable option here will be to contact Hisense directly and request they upgrade their firmware to include compatibility with windows 10 etc...! TV works fine for except not being able to connect with "Anyview Cast" and windows 10, and my TV was manufactured on march of 2017. like one will think that this company would have thought of windows 10 compatibility when coding the firmware. fingers crossed for a timely solution. good luck..!

    Hello,

If you are unable to connect your laptop to your TV through a wireless connection, it could be that your display and Wi-Fi drivers are outdated, or that there are compatibility issues between the two devices. For us to properly assist you in connecting your two laptops to your TV, kindly respond to the questions below:

    1. Were you able to connect the laptop to your TV before? If yes, what changes were made on the laptop before the problem occurred?
    2. Which version of Windows 10 is currently installed? To check, kindly go to Settings > System > About, see Version.
    3. Are you able add the TV to Windows 10 before attempting to project to it? You may add the TV by going to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices> Add Bluetooth or other device, then select Wireless display or dock.
    4. What troubleshooting steps have you done so far? This is for us to know and avoid any duplication of efforts on your end.

We look forward to your response.

I have the same problem.  I can make my phone connect to my tv but not my laptop.  First time trying this and I have no other TV to try on.  It recognizes the TV just will not connect to it.  Says it is connecting but never does.  Sharp TV using Anyview Cast and Windows 10 Home.
