scrolling down youtube page JUMP BACK UP!

On a youtube page after using the scroll wheel to scroll down the page it jumps back up to the top of the page again. only on youtube does this happen so its not really a 'steel series mouse problem , i use a  Rival100 steel series mouse.

I have tested it changed things on it but it still does it.  I always use windows for pages online i hardly ever use my full 24inch monitor for 1 page.

I mention this because my problem doesn't seem to happen in a full page , but only in a non full screen window. My guess is its not even a nvidia graphics problem but a windows 10 problem in conjunction with graphics.

I found out that youtube has pulled a nasty trick to make people want to use the new designed 'new youtube' . which I don't like. I use the old youtube design which is better and easier to see. Youtube 'old' has made some sort of bug that causes the problem i explained. but the new version doesn't have this problem, maybe i need to bite the bullet, or find a similar browser to chrome.

I removed cache , but nothing helps.

Thank you for the information. If it only happens in Chrome, try clearing the browser's cache and see if it helps. Follow the steps below:

    1. Click the three dots on the upper right-side of the Chrome window to open the settings.
    2. Select Settings, scroll down a bit then click Advanced.
    3. Look for Clear browsing data. Check all necessary options to clear and from Time range drop-down menu, select All time.
    4. Close the window. Try streaming again and see if the same issue will occur.

If the issue persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome and check if it helps.

Should you nee further assistance, don't hesitate to get back to us.

Hi just so I'm clear . 1, it happens on the side of the page(not on a preview video) when i first go onto, it goes up and down rapidly(not wanting to scroll down)2 Also I can confirm that i have tested it a bit and it jumps back up (to the top of the page)after i have moved the pointer on a video . I am not clicking anything but just the pointer on a preview video, then it jumps back up to the top of the page. It doesn't happen on any other video site, only on youtube. I thought it might be the fact i use '1 click' on my mouse (no double click')but that also isn't it.

    • Was it working properly before?  yes .
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?- reinstalled nvidia graphics drivers
    • When did this issue start? perhaps after the new 'preview videos 'came on youtube
    • Does this happen in other video streaming websites? none
    • this does not happen on ie , it seems Chrome itself maybe the problem. I would rather use chrome for my main browser, ie isn't my cup of tea

    Hi Phil,

This might be a graphics display issue. For us to provide a resolution suitable to your concern, we need some clarifications and information. Can you answer the questions below?

    • Was it working properly before?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
    • When did this issue start?
    • Does this happen in other video streaming websites?

In the meantime, try performing a clean boot to help eliminate software  conflicts that might be also be causing the issue.

    Looking forward to your response.
