2 days ago i started getting a problem on my pc and laptop, they would start normaly, windows logo and the spinning dots, but once everything loaded the screen where i should put in the password is black (there is still the cursor and i can move it). I tried booting it in safe mode but the same error accoured. Any way to fix this? Pereferably without loosing my files.

Very strange that your PC and laptop have the exact same problem.

See if this assists you with your Repair options.

You can use the power button to restart your computer three times. This will start the Windows Recovery Environment.

Already did that. Tried startup repair and the diagnostic tool, also tried sfc /scannow

Not sure but maybe it could have something to do with a automatic windows update the day before
