Local Disk (C:) to New volume (D:)

Just very confused how I am supposed to move things because my (C:) disk is full and my New Volume is Completely empty.

    Just because you have two volumes/disks/partitions does not mean you have been using them.

    Did you redirect your "Documents", "Pictures", "Favorites", "Music" and other such user related folders to the "New Volume" yourself?  Did you (when installing new programs) do custom installations and tell them to install onto the "New Volume"?

    Or... better yet: Explain how you got to this point and what you expected... Please?
