Youtube stuck in safe mode

My youtube is stuck in safe mode on all browsers and has been for about two weeks. I do not have any family safety settings so that is not the problem. I have tried resetting my PC and keeping my files. That did not work. I have since updated my PC back to all the recent updates for Windows 10 and still the problem persists. Any help on what might help fix this issue would be great.

    Thanks for the response!

That was the first thing I tried but for some reason I am unable to turn off restricted mode on youtube. The settings show up when I click on my account but I am unable to move it to the 'off' option. It says it is on and no amount of clicking can drag it to the off button. When I scroll down to the bottom of the youtube page to try and turn it off, the option to click the 'no' box doesn't even appear. This is a private computer and I am the administrator so there is no reason why I shouldn't be able to turn it off my account, but I am unable to.

    Thanks for the quick response!

My safe search was on. However when I unchecked the box and clicked save, it did nothing. It says it saved but youtube content is still blocked and when I went back to check my preferences, safe search had turned itself back on. I have tried and failed to turn it off multiple times. For some reason I'm not able to 'save' my changes when I unclick the safe search box. It does the exact same thing when tried on Microsoft Edge, Chrome and Firefox. Any ideas on why it's not letting me?

Have you tried both of these methods for disabling Restricted Mode in Youtube? https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/17408...

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

Do you mean, you can't search for certain types of content?

If so, it likely means you need to turn off safe search:
