You should download PressPlay Video from Microsoft Store which is a free app. Being from Microsoft Store it is a clean app. This will play your VOB files also.

WMP would play VOB prior to Windows 10 update on 12/6 now it will not

Type: optionalfeatures.exe
Hit Enter
Expand Media Features
Uncheck Media Player
Click OK
Restart if prompted
Press Windows key + R
Type: optionalfeatures.exe
Hit Enter
Expand Media Features
Check Media Player
Click OK
Restart if prompted
Check if you can play the VOB file again.
If that does not work.
Press Windows key + R
Type: appwiz.cpl
Hit Enter
Click View installed updates
Select the recent update
Right click it then click uninstall.
Restart then see if you can now play VOB files.
If that does not work, consider performing a repair upgrade or switch to VLC player.
