Hi all I've had windows 10 for more than a year now and FSX steam edition for about 9 months I have not had a single problem with the game Yet yesterday I played, ended the sim and when I loaded it to play again later the sim opened fine with the music and everything but there was just a black box where the aircraft is supposed to be displayed When I go into the aircraft list all the aircraft are displayed but when I select an aircraft the box goes black and does not display the aircraft When I click the fly button the whole screen goes black I can hear the aircraft flying but there is no picture Can anyone help please? No updates have been running on my windows 10 So I don't know what the problem can be Could it be the directx [mine is 9] Are there any settings in NVidia as I have not touched anyone of these This is a mystery to me Has anyone had this problem? Pieter

    Hi Pieter,

Graphics issues with Flight Simulator X are possibly caused by an outdated graphics card driver. To resolve your concern, we suggest that you install all the critical and important Windows Updates on your computer by following the steps on this link.

It is also recommended that you update the graphics card by following the steps below:

    1. Select the Start button, typeDevice Manager, and select it from the list of results.
    2. Expand one of the categories to find the name of your display adapter, then right-click (or tap and hold) it, and select Update Driver. For graphics cards, expand the Display adapters category, right-click your graphics card and select Update Driver.
    3. Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
    4. If Windows doesn't find a new driver, you can try looking for one on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions.

If these steps don't work, try reinstalling the driver:

    1. Open the Device Manager.
    2. Right-click (or tap and hold) the name of the display adapter.
    3. Select Uninstall.
    4. Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
