Event Viewer Log:

Can someone tell me what his text is saying was the issue? I can't decipher it. The game was playing normally and then out of the blue it froze and showed that "This application has stopped working." This motherboard has had some BIOS issues that I'm currently working out, but I don't see how that could have caused this.

Computer Specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 1700

GPU: AMD RX480 8Gb

Motherboard: Gigabyte Gaming 5 AM4 X370

RAM: Patriot 2400 DDR4 Ram 2x4Gb

Boot Drive: Samsung 960 EVO 250GB M.2

Steam Drive: 3Tb Seagate HHD

There is not a lot that is decipherable in these errors, but it looks like the error refers to the mulit-player

part of the game. Is the game running single player properly ?

BIOS can indeed cause problems with graphic processor functions. However, if you are using the most recent BIOS

provided by Gigabyte there should be no problems, assuming the BIOS has not been corrupted somehow.

    • What do you mean 'working out' ?

If you are referring tweaking some of the BIOS settings, start by going back to the default BIOS settings.

Particularly any cpu or RAM settings you may have changed.

    • If you have not already, run Steams 'Verify integrity of game files' tool. A file or files may have been corrupted

    during the download/install.

So single player still runs properly ? No problem with other games ?

You did not install another software around the time you started having the problem ?

Didn't tweak any Windows or BIOS settings ?

Don't have Fraps or 'optimising/overclocking software running, or loading in the background at Startup ?

You have not enabled any of Win10's Game Bar stuff ? Steam overlay off ?

Didn't change any settings for the game in the Nvidia's Experience or Control Panel ?

    • If you are not able to load the game and run single player, are you using a desktop shortcut to launch the game ?

Have you tried launching the game from the games main executable (CODWW2mp.exe  ?) in the install folder ?

If that works make a new Desktop shortcut from the games .exe.

    • Do other online games still connect ? If not try reinstalling your LAN/Ethernet drivers.

    • Any problems other than the game ?BIOS sorted out, and set to Default ? Cpu and gpu temps normal under full load ?

Web browsing, video and other functions all  good ?

I reinstalled the game after it started crashing on startup. When I started up the multiplayer for the first time the game froze and displayed this error message.
