Dear Support.

Appreciate any help you can give me.

Received a UG 2150 pen display today. Windows sees and installs and uses generic video driver.  So it works as a display.  Mouse works on this monitor.

When I try to install the UGEE 2150 updated driver from their website or the one that came with the product I receive the following error and won't install the software.

No tablet was detected

please connect your tablet to the computer before driver installation.

The firepro 4300 video card had mini display ports and I am using an active hdmi adapter to plug into the monitor.

Where does windows 10 show a tablet.

Under device manager under human interface devices I only have two usb devices.  One for the mouse and one for the keyboard.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

    Dear Mr. Costa.

As I mentioned in the above reply, I goofed up and did not read the manual well.  After plugging in all the cables it started to work well.  My problem also was that I had two monitors of higher resolution and they needed to be turned down.  Next I need to turn one extra monitor off when running the tablet. So running a slightly reduced resolution on my monitors and turning one off while I work with the tablet just about got everything running.  I found both of these on the internet and they helped.

I did use some of your advice and it really helped.  I need to re- try your advice again, I got most of the software to work and the pen now seems to work.  Just needs to be calibrated and have the sensitivity set.  This is my new problem.

Another place on the internet says that the windows version 1709 causes some of the needed UGEE setup software not to work correctly. This update may be effecting the calibration and sensitivity to now not be able to use the UGEE software to correctly set.  So as a result, the author of that post recommended contacting UGEE, and that is what I did.  I am waiting on their response.  It was also recommended as one resort that I could roll back the version 1709.  But I think I will wait to see what UGEE says.  But as a fine expert you may have a better plan and I sure appreciate you help.  Any suggestions?

If I find any solution I will post it as soon as I can.

Thanks a million for your help..  Have a wonderful day.

This might be a compatibility issue, so consider rolling back if you recently upgraded.

    Download the driver:

Find the driver you need on [http://www.ugee.eu/support](http://www.ugee.eu/support)

Download the driver into your hard disk

Unzip the downloaded folder into your hard disk

    Open the unzipped folder

Find the setup.exe icon and run it as administrator

    Follow the on screen instructions

Note: Be sure to close down any programme(s) you don’t need running on your computer to prevent any third party software from corrupting the installation

    Install the driver:

Close down any programme you don’t need running on your computer

Disable your anti virus programme such as Fire Wall

Uninstall your existing Ugee driver (through control panel for Windows)

Check that you have uninstalled other graphics tablet drivers and it’s hidden files and all unused devices are removed – if you have not done so already:Click Here

Disconnect your tablet from your computer

    Restart computer

Close down any programme you don’t need running on your computer

Check that the anti-virus program is still disabled

Install your driver again as Administrator

    Restart computer

Connect your tablet to your computer after installation

Go to the driver/tablet setting and go to the “Pressure Sensitivity” tab and draw on the test area to see if you have pressure sensitivity, if it works, then the driver is installed successfully.

    Enable your anti-virus programme

    Configure or troubleshoot tablet features:

If you experience pointer lag or when the system reboots, the tablet icon disappears, please follow the steps provided.

    STEP 1

Press“Ctrl+ Alt and Delete” on the keyboard simultaneously and then click on the Task Manager option to open up Windows Task Manager.

In the Task Manager, in the processes tab, look for “Wintab Service (32bit)” and “Tablet Client Driver (32bit)”.

If you don’t have “Tablet Client Driver (32bit)” in your Task Manager processes, please follow Step 2.

If you don’t have “Wintab Service (32bit)” in your Task Manager processes, please follow Step 3.

If you can see both processes n Task Manager please follow Step 4.

    STEP 2

Open the “File Explorer” on your computer and click on your C:/ drive or your main Windows 10 partition.

Search “wtclient” in the search bar in the top right hand corner and press enter. Two files should appear.

Select both programs shown, and double click them . A pop-up message: “Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your PC” should appear. Click the “Yes” button and re-open Task Manager.

Tablet Client Driver (32bit) should now be running and shown in the Task Manager processes tab.

    STEP 3

Open up the Services program by going to“Control Panel>All Control Panel Items> Administrative Tools” and click and run “Services”.

Look for “WinTab Service” , then right click the file then click Start.

WinTab Service (32bit) should now be running and shown in the Task Manager processes tab.

    STEP 4

Reboot your computer and if an pop-up box “Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your PC?” appears click “Yes”.

    Thanks for reporting back Randall.

There are a lot of problems with Fall Creators Version 1709. If you need to you can roll it back in Settings>Update & Security>Recovery and wait awhile for it to mature and to get an answer from your tablet maker.

To assure it doesn't force install just hide it afterwards using the Hide Updates Tool downloaded from here and run to Check for Update and then hide them: http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/2/2/f2...

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

    Hi Greg,

    Thanks for your help.

The fix to the problem I first described, I fixed right before receiving your email.  The solution was embarrassing simple.  Read the manual (written well) more carefully.  So that initial problem was fixed by plugging in the correct cabling.   However, a problem arose after that problem that I can't fix by careful study of the well written manual.  This seems to be in regard to the the version 1709 update.  From others remarks found on the internet, it seems that this update caused my ability to calibrate and set the pen to not work in the given software.  I have sent an email to UGEE about this problem. I think they are aware of it and are hopefully about to launch an update.  (i'd bet they are due to Christmas and these being given as gifts)  I may have to roll back the windows update but I'd rather not.

Notice how the calibration is grayed out?  This and the pressure doesn't work.

Thanks so very much for helping me.  I hope you have a wonderful evening.
