SpeechRuntime.exe and Speech_OneCore...problems

133 registry issues are being ignored by Norton Utilities. Norton didn't want to touch them.... SpeechRuntime.exe seems to be one problem...I don't have it at present...Speech_OneCore...is part of it too.    My microphone and installed Realtek audio programs were disabled or gone. I've found them, I hope, and executed them....still no microphone.....Should I do a reinstall of Windows 10?...or is there something easier?

    Hi,

    The issue that you are experiencing can be caused by corrupted system files. For us to know more, please answer the following:

    • Were there any recent changes prior to the issue?
    • Are you getting any error messages?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    Hi,

    Thank you for getting back to us. Just to set your expectation, it is possible that the program Norton already corrupted the system files or the registry. If you are using a program that can tweak or get into the registry/system core, computer is more vulnerable with issues like this. To help you resolve this, please follow the steps below: 

    1. SFC and DISM to fix and replace corrupted system files.
    2. Get the latest driver from the Manufacturer website.
    3. If the same issue persists and if re-installation of Windows is convenient for you, like what you've said you can perform it. Head over to this link for the steps.

    Hi

    I now have 329 registry issues that will not correct in Norton. They can't help because the registry items are all Microsoft program files: Cortana listen, one core, speech...and many more.

    I enclose a log file from my Norton Utilities 16 program. I don't know if there is private info in this...could you give me an address to send it to privately. This has been going on for almost a year and it keeps increasing.

    If you can help, I would appreciate it.
