Trying to install the programmes on windows 10 (mainly MYOB 2017.2) get error 0x80070005.

Trying to install the programme updates on windows 10 1709 (mainly MYOB 2017.2) get error 0x80070005.

1 .i have tried some troubleshooting steps following the links but the problem still exist

https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/10164/fix-windows-update-errors

2.i have tried to go back to the previous version but it said that i need to remove other account that i log in before, but i just have one account,

i had problems doing the latest windows update as had to remove micro trend internet security 2009. This took trend half a day to do.

To install MYOB I login to WWW.myob.com.au and download update of MYOB from there

My system details are

Desk top

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) 13 CPU 540@ 3.07GHz  4.00 GB Ram

Device ID 67D4E8DD-345A-4E67-87F4-E6A85CF94FE5

Product type 00330-80000-00000-AA394

System Type 64-bit operating system, x 64 - based processor

Windows 10 pro

Version 1709

OS build 16299.98

It is very frustrating as taken me all week have had Microsoft support online logged in for over 4 hours unable to fix.

I just reinstalled Windows and still have the same error trying to update my MYOB. Error 0x80070005

Any suggestions please

    Hi Peter,

The error code  0x80070005 usually means that you do not have enough permission to perform actions or install updates. Ensure that you have administrative privileges for the account which you're logged in. Try to perform the action from the Microsoft account and check if it helps.

In addition to that, we also suggest checking  Forum Article created by Andre Da Costa and see if it helps:
