The driver for my DPF70-1 has become corrupted and I have been unable to find a new driver on-line.

Any suggestions?

This DPF had never been connected to this PC before. So I don't think a restore will work.

I am beginning to think the problem is with the frame itself

I thank everyone for their attempts to help me but I think it is time to close this discussion and move on.  Again, Thank you.

    Thank you for the update.

Let's further isolate the issue by doing the following and check if it helps.

    • Connect the device to your PC using another cable.
    • Try the device on a different USB port.
    • Connect the device to another PC.

If the persists after trying the instructions mentioned above, let's check if changing the Power Managing Setting would help as it also causes USB problems. Your device's power settings sometimes shuts down the USB controller to save power by default and issue occurs when it can't power the USB controller back up. So let try following the steps below to prevent Windows from managing the power settings of the USB controller.

    1. In Device Manager, under category Universal Serial Bus controllers, double-click the USB Root Hub device and go to Power Management tab.
    2. Turn off the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power option, and click OK.

Once done, check if the issue persists.

We're looking forward to your update.

    Hi Rick,

Device drivers are there to perform important task in your computer. If the driver is corrupted or outdated, it may cause hardware malfunction. To better assist you with your concern, we'd like to ask a few questions:

    • Which Windows version and build are you using? Type winver in the search bar and press Enter to find out.
    • Aside from looking for new drivers online, what other steps have you done to address the issue?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you uninstall the current driver and reinstall the same version to simply replace the corrupted driver with a new one. To do this, follow these steps if you're on a Windows 10 device:

    1. On the search box, type device manager and press Enter.
    2. Right-click (or tap and hold) the name of the device and select Uninstall.
    3. Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

For any results, please let us know.

    Windows Version - 1709 (OS Build 16299.125)

I have uninstalled the affected driver several times and done restarts. No improvement in results

When I look at Device Manager the affected USB port shows:

Unknown USB Device (Port Rest Failure)

and I get a screen message: USB Device not recognized

I have done numerous on-line searches looking for a new driver but have been unable to find one.

I have tried to update the drive but the return message is : The best drivers for your device are already installed.

So, I am unable to load or unload pics to my DPF
