I might go to file explorer, the folder i want to find recently accessed files in - and right click the highlighted area in pic below and click on more. Then click the new heading to arrange it the way i liked best.

2017-12-13T22:13:19+00:00 In File Explorer, click on Quick Access in the left pane. This should show recent folders. If you right click on Quick Access and select >Options, under Privacy are settings to show recent files.
