    Hi,

Thank you for the provided information. Please provide further information in order for us to provide more appropriate troubleshooting:

    • Aside from this message, are there any other error messages or error codes appearing prior to the crash?
    • When trying to access Audacity, are there any errors as well indicating an error accessing the program?

To continue with the troubleshooting, we suggest running the System File Checker on the device to check for any corruptions and any repair any system files which could be the cause of the issue.

Don’t hesitate to give us updates on the query.

We appreciate your response. Regarding with the app (Audacity) that you are using, we suggest that you try to uninstall it, and then install the latest version to resolve the conflict issue.

We would appreciate it if you could get back to us and provide us your feedback.

I do not have any issues with audacity it runs and works as intended.

The issue is it is not running when win10 spits out the error.

I had this also some time ago with a game grand theft auto, the steam game was never

installed on this pc, but got an error message it was.

Truly belive this is a win10 sync issue.

    Hi,

For us to narrow down your concern with the data that you provided, we would like to know the following:

    • Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue (e.g., updates, software installation)?
    • When did the issue first begin?
    • What are you trying to access prior to the issue?
    • Can you tell us more information about your concern?
    • To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

We look forward to your response.

1 no, 2 after getting the spectre and meltdown update, 3 ripping some audio cd's with wmp, 4 pc was unresponsive running wmp and google chrome or any other program on light use would freeze the pc; could see hard drive activity

not accessing any drives, mouse and keyboard produced nothing ( no cursor movement  .

Rechecked power settings, again ran a batch file three times to turn off fast boot ( hibernate mode).

Also had  event logged stating that an issue with the cd rom controller   had an issue x amount of times when

    the pc would freeze.
