Windows 10: change file path for folders from C:/Users/Owner... to user name?

The OS of my Windows 10 computer became corrupted and needed to be reset to factory settings. The repair technicians I used restored some basic files and programs and returned the computer to me with the default administrative user name of Owner. They advised me that they were not allowed to reinstall third party software, etc., so I began to do this and change various settings back to my preferences myself. I was able to change the account user name back to my existing username, but the file paths are still Owner. Thus, my third party automatic cloud backup program doesn't recognize the computer and will neither restore old data nor back up new data, and if at all possible, I don't want to delete all Owner files and start completely reinstalling again.

I'm an experienced, moderately computer literate user who can follow instructions and links for things I have never done before, but I'm not technical and am wary of unwittingly editing the registry in a way that will cause further problems. Please explain any relatively simple methods of making the changes I need. Thank you.

Thank you. However, the instructions at the link did not work. I got to Step 8, but when I attempted to save the edited name, I repeatedly got. "Cannot Edit Profile Image Path. Error Writing Value's New Contents." I tried changing the case of the letters, which received the same error. Anyone who knows how to fix this, please assist. Thank you.

I found something else that may help.  A little bit of a read here to get to a solution that is said to have worked. . Hope it is of some help. It looks like working with the paths is much harder in windows 10.

Here is a post from this site .

It is insider but MVP has answered some questions there.
