Hi Cheryl,
The error message that you’ve encountered is usually caused by an invalid or corrupted TOSHIBA.DLL registry entry, another program has overwritten the require version of TOSHIBA.DLL or another application has uninstalled the compatible file. To have this
error be resolved, we suggest that you try the following methods:
Method 1: Manually registering the file using the Microsoft Register Server.
- Type Command Prompt in the Search box from Start.
- Right-click on the result, then select Run as administrator.
- Type this command: regsvr32 /u Downloader.dll.
- Press Enter to un-register the file.
- Type this command: regsvr32 /i Downloader.dll.
- Press Enter to re-register your file.
- Close the command prompt.
- Restart your computer and check the result.
Method 2: Run a full malware scan on your PC using the available antivirus software that’s installed on your computer. This will ensure and detect if your computer has been infected by malware.
Method 3: Run the System File Checker tool. It is usually used to repair and restore any possible system file corruptions. Here are the steps:
- Type Command Prompt in the Search box from the
Start Menu.
- Right-click on it, then select Run as administrator.
- Enter DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth (note the spaces before each "/").
- Enter sfc /scannow (note the space between "sfc" and "/").
We’re just here if you need further help.
