My Asus t100ta-b1-gr has no output audio driver

Hello, I've been trying to get audio to work to no avail thus far. My only audio driver is Realtek I2S, but that's Windows 8.1 version, no Windows 10 version on their drivers. I've factory reset my PC, tried their windows 8.1 Realtek I2S driver on my windows 10 just to try it, reset was necessary, right after, windows looked very strange, looking like a failed Win 8.1 (IMG1), so I just factory reset again. I talked to the ASUS support, the guy recommended for a link for a driver. I told him "Are you sure? Last time I tried for windows 8.1 on my windows 10, it got all messed up," he insisted there should be no problem, it's backwards compatible. Well, I tried, and the exact same result with still no output audio and a weird looking screen.

Anyone have any different suggestions? I really appreciate it in advance!

    Hello,

In rare cases, audio issues were caused by outdated drivers. To troubleshoot the problem, we suggest running the built-in Windows 10 audio troubleshooter by following the steps below:

    1. Click on the Start button and click on the Settings icon.
    2. On the Windows Settings search box, type troubleshooting and select the first result.
    3. On the Sound column, click on Playing Audio to start the troubleshooter.

Once done with the steps, let us know how it goes so we can assist you further.

    Hi iHDDi,

There's a possibility that there's a conflict between the audio driver and the Windows 10 OS. Normally this issue can be resolve if there will be an update from the device audio driver manufacturer. In case you have time to submit a feedback or suggestion on their support site please do so.

    Regards.

In this case, we suggest checking the Device Manager to see if the sound driver needs to be updated. Try these steps:

    • Open Start , enter Device Manager, and select it from the list of results. Under Sound, video and game controllers, select your sound card, open it, select the Drivertab, and select Update Driver. If Windows doesn't find a new driver, look for one on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions.

If that didn't work, try this:

    • Uninstall your audio driver: open Device Manager, right-click (or press and hold) the audio driver, and select Uninstall. Restart your device and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

And if that didn't work, try using the generic audio driver that comes with Windows. Here's how:

    • Open Device Manager, right-click (or press and hold) your audio driver >Update driver software...>Browse my computer for driver software>Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer, select High Definition Audio Device, select Next, and follow the instructions to install it.

Should you have additional questions, please let us know.

I appreciate you trying to help me, but I just decided to ceate a Windows 8.1 Media Creator ISO, install all my drivers on my product’s driver website (including Realtek audio,) then install windows 10 media creation upgrade, my audio driver still works in that method. Sure, I'd prefer for a clean copy with windows 10 media creation ISO, It's better, but I couldn't get my audio driver to work.
