    Hello,

I have a method that is not copy and pasted and that actually works, unlike that MS answer that has nothing to do with updates.

    1. Open File Explorer.
    2. Go to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download, and delete all contents.
    3. Open CMD, and type in net stop wuauserv.
    4. Now type in net start wuauserv.

    there you go!

don’t listen to the MS guy. He is saying that your update is corrupt, but that tool won’t delete your updates. He is pasting a general answer from one of their answer banks that has nothing to do with deleting updates. I ACTUALLY wrote this myself.

    Hi Oliver,

A corrupted Windows Update components is one of the possible reasons why you are unable to install the updates on your Windows 10 computer. You can download and run the Windows Update Troubleshooter in this link to troubleshoot the issue.

You can use the Disk clean up tool to delete temporary files and system files if you need to free up more space. You can follow the steps below:

    To delete temporary files:

    1. Search for Disk cleanup from the taskbar and select it from the list of results.
    2. Under Files to delete, select the file types to get rid of. To get a description of the file type, select it.
    3. Select OK.

    To delete system files:

    1. In Disk cleanup, select Clean up system files.
    2. Select the file types to get rid of. To get a description of the file type, select it.
    3. Select OK.

Should you need further assistance, don't hesitate to get back to us.
