Broadcom 802.11ac Network Adapter not connecting to network.

Hello there.

So for the passed month I have been battling with my computer for wifi. With the recent windows 10 update I did my wifi signal was very low. It seemed extremely unstable and refused to work steady. It was odd too as it only seemed to work with 1 bar despite it showing otherwise when I'm about to connect.

So then I decided to update the driver. But nope that made it worse. It refused to connect to the network period. I would hit connect then the wifi shows an X and then nothing. Almost like it resets.

So I uninstalled the driver and used the basic windows one. Same thing happens. Finally I installed the old driver and am back at square one with low unstable wifi.

So I thought it mightve been the access point. However I went to my cousins to test this only to see the same 1 bar connectivity. Really could use some help with this. It seems I'm not the only one with this issue either however I have found no fix. I have an asus rog laptop and their drivers don't work either.

You can try rollback if the option is available, but the opportunity to rollback is usually within 10 days of upgrading.

Open Start > Settings > Update & security > Recovery > under Go back to my previous version of Windows 10, click Get started.

I have an Asus ROG G750JW with windows 10 version 1709 build 16299. The OS was upgraded from Win 8.1

Troubleshooter does not help at all. When I use the new drivers there's nothing it can do because it fails to connect to the network.

And how would my display adapter help. I'll update it but I don't see how it's relevant?

I've tried the official asus newest driver for the card and like I said. I get the failed to connect to network. Same thing happens when I use device manager to update the drivers as well.

Maybe it's another program that's conflicting with it? I know that the card and router use the same frequencies because they've communicated just fine in the past. I think I should note that I've also tried the network reset option in the settings applet with no luck.

The current build for windows 10 I have is 1709. This is the update that I think messed with it.

My laptop is an Asus G750JW, which orignarly had windows 8.1 on it. I've seen other forums with people with the same series that are having the same problem.
