    Latest TVs and PCs provide a wide variety of video connectivity options. Ensure that the video port on your PC matches an available video port on your TV, like VGA, DVI or HDMI.

    Connecting your PC with a TV

    Connect the TV to the PC using a compatible cable.

    Power on the TV.

    Change the video input source on the TV to match the video source connection from the PC (HDMI, VGA (may also be mentioned as PC), DVI etc.)

    Power on the PC.

    If you encounter a problem when trying to connect your PC with a TV:

    Power on the TV before powering on the PC.

    Ensure the correct video input source is selected on the TV.

    Coaxial or S-video cable connections do not support higher resolution, ensure to set the resolution to 800 x 600 or less.

    Certain TVs may require you to adjust the screen aspect ratio for best possible scaling and resolution.

    Certain TVs may require you to set the TV as the primary display. Change the video settings in Microsoft Windows and restart the PC.

    =====

    Wireless :

    If you want to do it wirelessly and Miracast is supported on both computer and TV (or if you buy adapters).

    Both the computer and TV/Monitor have to support Miracast. If not you would need to buy add-on Miracast devices.

    Check these :

    =====

    Wired :

    For wired you would treat the TV as a monitor and use an HDMI cable (need a good one).

    Start - Settings - System - Display <- set as you wish.

    How to change Screen Resolution & Display settings in Windows 10

    You may have more advanced settings in Right Click Desktop - Graphics

    Properties AND/OR in Control Panel - Display - Adjust Resolution AND/OR an icon in the notification area near the clock on lower right of desktop.

    These should help (they also apply to Windows 10)
