There has not been a full driver set for your device since Windows XP. You might want to try the latest driver(s) available by right-clicking on the installation file and selecting "Troubleshoot compatibility." It probably won't work. There's VueScan, which isn't free but has given new life to many old scanners.
Need to install old CanoScan Scanner on Windows 10
I have new Lenovo with Windows 10 Home. Tried to install old software for Scanner, CanoScan N670U. Got the twain driver and thought Iinstalled software but Windows cannot add/find the device. Please help me to install scanner. Thanks.

You certainly can't "upload" anything from the disk to your computer, but you might be able to install the software. You won't know until you try it.
