Are you asking about copying the file or the contents of the file?
Assuming the later, it's the same as any other type of file. You can drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste.
If you mean the contents, what do you want to do with the copied contents?

I move the indicator arrow and select all and an icon pops up saying "copy image" and the whole doc turns blue but there is no paste command shown.

My life story is saved in 2 seperate PDF docs on my laptop and I need to copy and paste them into AMAZON/Kindle's self publishing paperback site....
Hi tomjones4:
I don't use Adobe Reader anymore so I'm not sure how well the copy & paste function works in that program, but could you achieve the same result by merging your two PDF files into a single PDF file? Then upload your single .PDF file to Kindle Direct Publishing as instructed at https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/G201723070#prepare_ebook - the PDF format just is one of the supported file formats listed <here>.
There are several free online web sites like PDF Joiner (http://pdfjoiner.com/) that allow you perform tasks like combining multiple PDF files, which is an advanced feature normally found on Adobe Acrobat and other paid software programs.
You might also find that TrackerSoftware's free PDF-XChange Editor (https://www.tracker-software.com/product/pdf-xchange-editor) has better editing features that Adobe Reader, although I believe you must upgrade to the paid (Plus) version if you want to merge PDF files with their software (see <here>).

Hi Ken,
Adobe reader is what I use to open my PDF files. I scanned my manual , typewritten story to my laptop and it saved as 2 PDF files.
OK, so the subject line of the question (copy and paste a PDF doc) is wrong then; you are trying to copy contents of the file, not the file itself.
Sorry, my previous message was wrong. I said "latter" when I mean "former."
What program are you using to open the pdf files? You are perhaps using one one that doesn't let you copy text from it. Foxit Reader, Sumatr PDF, and Adobe Reader all allow that.
If the pdf reader program you are using isn't the problem, let me ask who created those pdf files and how.
Hi, thanks for responding.

I have tried many times to copy and paste the PDF contents with select all but the screen turns blue and there is no action to paste. I tried using the arrow indicator on the PDF docs drag and drop but do not think I am doing it correctly? I perfer to use copy and paste but it does not work.
